Alex, the mind behind label
Carrot Clothing, delivers a unique perspective to the genre of streetwear. Uplifting people amongst over twenty countries worldwide, his clothing offers unmuted anti-war messages for family and friends of all ages. Some of which have even landed him in jail and at the mercy of unforgiving local authorities for spreading allegedly "terrorist" policies. Standing two years strong, the brand looks to to continue on its promising journey with the hope of inspiring people in the same way that they themselves have been inspired by the remarkable feats of others.
Check out the interview we had with Alex after the jump.

Introduce yourself for the people who aren't familiar with you.
Yo! My name is Alex, and I am founder, creative director, secretary and janitor at Carrot Clothing.
What inspired you to create a clothing line?
Back in '99, after US bombed my country I start to print tees with anti-war and anti-establishment messages. After that I caught and landed in jail for 6 months as political prisoner. ...that how Carrot is born. Company is established in 2006.

Whats the meaning behind your brand name, Carrot?
It was about “carrot and stick” story...we always fell that young people is given a carrot; dream that you cannot reach. Not just in life, but in fashion too. I mean, how I can buy tee when it's cost 250$?! People love thing that cannot reach; it is human nature!
Who all is involved in this movement?
Except myself, there is a lot musicians, skateboarders and in first line artists involved in this movement.

What's the most difficult aspect of managing a clothing line?
I love what I do, it's hard to say what is most difficult. Probably the paper work :)
What other brands of clothing are you feeling besides your own?
I cannot say that I'm feelin whole lines, buther is really cool pieces on the market from time to time. Except Carrot, I wear JB Classics, Fuct, Supreme....

Anything to lookout for in the near future?
Yes, we have lot of plans: our 1st sneakers released by JB Classics, collaboration with cool, hi end artists and fashion designers like...for example – Porous Walker!
Where do you see your brand 10 years from now?
In top 5.

Any last words for aspiring designers wanting to start a brand?
Do what you feel in your heart and play it out to the fullest...but, It’s going to be a rough road.
